“Whispers in the Trees” by Erika Skye Andres is for unaccompanied flute.  It is a meditation piece, depicting wind blowing through the branches and leaves of trees.  The flute is used non-traditionally, making use of many extended techniques including harmonics, whistle tones, singing while playing, flutter-tonguing, microtones, and note bending.  For upper-intermediate or advanced players.  Open holes are highly recommended to help with note bends and microtones, and a B footjoint is required.
