It is very important to keep your flute clean so that it continues to play its best! You need a tuning/cleaning rod, inside cleaning cloth (like cotton handkerchief cut in half) as well as an outside cleaning cloth among other possible cleaning supplies like flute swabs and standard flags and extended flags.
If you wish to jazz up your cleaning supplies, you can also get cloths with fun colors and patterns for both the outside of the flute and the inside including solid colors, patterns, and even holiday themes.
